Bullying is a subject we overlook everyday. We need to start taking the responsibility and put this to a stop. In the book, Shattering Glass, Simon Glass gets killed. I'm not ruining the book, the story starts off that way. The story is about a "nerd" who turns popular. On his rise to popularity he becomes more confident and out going. While he starts to gain this confidence, Simon begins planning on taking down the "big man on campus".
Rob is the one who tells Simon he shouldn't be treated like an inferior person anymore. Rob takes Simon under his wing, COMPLETELY transforms him to make people except him. All the while, the whole gang is finding out more and more about each other and everyone has lies they have been hiding, especially Rob.
The one thing that I hate, that reminds me of this book, is people getting judged or treated badly by people that don't know anything about them. That is what happens not only in schools but EVERYWHERE!! Even in the work place. The Government has made laws against bullying in schools, but have not really enforced them. The way I see it, whenever somone see's another student or anyone being bullied they need to step up and take responsibility to do the right thing. Sure people might make fun of you for sticking up for the "losers, geeks, nerds, goths, preps, etc." Eventually your friends and peers will start sticking up for the "outcasts" too.

I've found that those who pick on others generally have a low self-esteem. To feel good about themselves, they need to tear down someone else.
